Eligibility — 18+

Yentl is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. By using Yentl, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old. If you are under 18, do not use Yentl. This restriction exists because Yentl processes audio that may contain sensitive content, and because Yentl's AI verdicts require adult judgment to interpret appropriately.

Methodology

Yentl's verdict process is documented at /methodology. The methodology is public and versioned. Prompt and model changes are logged in the Changelog.

No warranty — AI may be wrong

Yentl is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Yentl does not warrant that:

• Verdicts are accurate, complete, or current.
• Sources cited are authoritative or unbiased.
• The service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
• AI output is free from hallucinations, omissions, or errors.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Yentl's liability for any claim arising from use of the service is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the preceding 12 months (which, for a free service, is $0).

User obligations

• Lawful use. You agree to use Yentl only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
• No secret recording. You are responsible for complying with all recording-consent laws in every applicable jurisdiction. In all-party/two-party consent states and countries, you must obtain consent from all parties before recording. You may not use Yentl for secret recording or unlawful surveillance.
• Speaker labels & biometric consent. If you enable speaker labels for a live microphone session, you represent and warrant that every person whose voice may be captured has been told and agrees to speaker separation. Speaker separation analyzes voice characteristics, which may be a biometric identifier under laws including the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act, the Texas CUBI Act, and Washington RCW 19.375. You are solely responsible for obtaining any consent those laws require before enabling it, and you may not enable it for recorded calls, uploaded media, broadcasts, or any audio where you have not obtained that consent.
• No high-stakes reliance.You may not rely on Yentl's output for any high-stakes decision — legal, medical, financial, employment, safety, or journalistic publication — without independent verification. Yentl's output is AI-assisted and provisional.
• No automated abuse. You may not use Yentl via automated scripts, bots, or scrapers. You may not attempt to overload, probe, or circumvent any security or rate-limiting measures.
• No circumvention. You may not attempt to bypass the scope and safety policy or extract refused verdicts by rephrasing prohibited content.
• No redistribution of verdicts as authoritative. AI-generated verdicts from Yentl must not be presented as definitive fact-checks by journalists, broadcasters, or other publishers without independent verification.

Your content

You may submit links, files, text, and media to Yentl for analysis (“Your Material”). You keep all rights you hold in Your Material. By submitting it, you represent that you own it or have the rights, licenses, and lawful basis to submit it and to have Yentl process, transcribe, and analyze it, and that doing so violates no law or third-party right. You grant Knowlium a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, transcribe, analyze, and — only for your own saved sessions — store Your Material solely to provide the service to you. Knowlium claims no ownership of Your Material and does not use it to train models.

Knowlium responds to notices of alleged copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512). To submit a takedown notice or counter-notice, or to read our repeat-infringer policy, see the DMCA Policy.

Governing law, forum & anti-SLAPP

These Terms and any dispute relating to them or to Yentl are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules — except that nothing here overrides mandatory consumer-protection or privacy rights that the law of your home jurisdiction makes non-waivable. For any claim not subject to arbitration, you and Knowlium agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in New York, except a claim you may bring in your local small-claims court.

Knowlium reserves all protections available under any applicable anti-SLAPP statute, including New York Civil Rights Law §§ 70-a and 76-a and, where applicable, California Code of Civil Procedure § 425.16, against strategic lawsuits aimed at silencing public-interest speech and fact-checking activity.

Dispute resolution

Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of Yentl will be resolved through binding individual arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA), except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court. Class action waivers apply to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

Changes to these Terms

Yentl may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the Changelog. Continued use of Yentl after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Nonwaiver & severability

Nothing in these Terms limits or waives any right or remedy that cannot be limited or waived under applicable law. If any provision is found unenforceable, it is severed and the remaining provisions stay in effect.
